'rolla alternators...

hey guys, I have access to an alternator from either a 3A, 4A or 5A engine so I'm thinking I might as well upgrade while the offer's good...

Which one(s) will give me highest current output of the three but still fit in the space that my 3E alternator fits?
If it's not a direct swap, what brackets etc. do I need to build to fit it?

they're not all the same...... not even the 4a-fe and 4a-ge alt's are the same

when in doubt.... just go for the part made specifically for your car.

lol...good advice ren, but I need a little extra juice without the expense of a rewound or aftermarket alternator, so I'm looking at OEM 'rolla alternators...my old alt is basically the same hookup as the one I have now so I'm carrying it to compare mounts...I just wanna know which out of the three gives me the most current generated without having to slap in each one to try 'em out...

if don't know but u can direct me to anyone who might know, that'll be a big help too...

just go to an alternator rebuild shop and ask them for a higher amp alternator for your car.. I'm sure they'll have them.. if not they can build you one. try your local yellow pages.
