anybody know how to make the AE101 tachometer work while running a 4AGZE (2nd Gen)?

on the distributorless ignition..... isn't there a crank sensor that's recquired? you might need to use that...... OR you might be able to pull the tach signal from the ecu......

What exactly is keeping the tach from working? Is this something that the MSD tach adaptor would help on?

i've read about the MSD tach adaptor in some of the other forums... was wondering if there was an alternative way of getting a signal the usual AE101 tach could read (how i wish the AE101 Levin GTZ tachometer was a direct bolt on to my car...). Likewise, i'm not sure if the MSD thing works the same for a MAP 4AGZE and an AFM one...

you really cant. cause i think your ae101 tach is running a diff voltage than what the ecu is outputting. just run a aftermarket tach. or get a cluster from where you got ur engine from

talked to a friend. he mentioned using a tach adapter from a twin coil mitsu engine (4G63 i think). anyone tried this yet?
