sorry to hear, man. i guess you can just leave it in gear for now, but don't trip off the auto/remote start by accident!

There's always going to be something that breaks, no matter what the car is.

Just keep in mind that Toyotas are generaly more reliable than other brands. Whenever something breaks, I just think of what it would be like If I bought a Lada...That usually makes me feel better.

man just about anything you can think of will break on a ae86, sooner or later i hear toyota will discontinue parts for the 86's! i bet this is going to cause mayhem in the 86 world with ppl breaking parts and then trying to source them at the dealer and coming up with parts being discontinued.

Welcome to my world! Parts for the SHO are really tough to find. A simple thing like a throttle cable is discontinued, not to mention 3/4 the replacement parts on the car. It's actually not that tough to find parts if you're lucky enough to find an car similar to yours in a scrap yard, but then again, I have never seen an 86 in one.

and your exactly right bro, it be a miracle to find a 86 out in the yard although i found one which was an sr5 and got some nice panels off of it but i have not seen one gts. lets just hope for the better and hope these dealers will keep the parts in production alittle longer.
