Engine Swap...

I have a 1975 KE30 Corolla and I'm looking into doing an engine swap, Can anyone give me some ideas as to what engine to drop in?

Thanks.

what's the motor in there now? 3K or 2T? and what's your intention with the car, drag or track or just daily driving with occassional spirited driving?

here's my suggestion...

- if it's 2T powered, build up your original motor and make it a 2TG (twin cam like with the Levin/Sprinter) by combining the oem block with an RG head.

- 3TC would be another choice. 1.8L version of the 2T. you can still modified this to run it as a 2L.

- 3T-GTE... turbocharged version of the T series engines with dual spark plug.

- 16V / 20V 4A-GE... there's enough info about this on the net so i'm sure you know already what this is.

- but if you wanna go crazy.... try installing a 3S-GE or 3S-GTE!

K-series engines would be pretty much a bolt-on affair for your ride. but swapping in the A-series, T or even E would require some modifications on your engine mounting points.
