Hello every Corolla fans,

I live in Montreal, Canada. This is my first
time to talk to all Corolla lovers here.

Brought my 2000 Corolla on September 1999.
Car runs like I brought it yesterday though
it is 2.7 years old. My general comments on
my AE 110 are:

Pros
.Front styling is better than 2001's (Personally speaking, glad I brought 2000 model)
.Great engine, it outruns my friend's Honda Civic Si (125bhp 1ZZ-FE with VVT-i)
.Great traction in wet and winter(even
without snow tires)
.Very comfortable and quiet
.Engine sounds very sweet
.Outside thermometer (feels like driving BMW
or Mercedes Benz)
.Good heating
.Very good visibility

Cons
.Braking is disappointed
.Handling is marginal
.Rear suspension drops seriously (especially when 3 persons seated rear and loaded with luggages)
.Suspenson is excessively soft
.Rear seat room is a bit small
.No side window demisters (quite inconvenient
in rain and winter)
.No shift indicator on automatic transmission

My total rating: 88/100
(How about yours ?)

Hey guys, I want to know if there are any
carbon metallic brake pads and shoes available or any suggestions on brake improvement ?

And any better suggestions on suspension parts(no Eibach kits available for Corolla, TRD kits are relatively pricey)and how to solve the rear suspension problem when fully loaded ?

I love my AE 110 and tell me how you like yours

I own a 99 and I have just over 90,000km on it.
I drive it pretty hard and it still runs like new!

I have to agree with almost everything
you've said...
( I also outran my buddies Civic Si, and mine is non vvt-i!)

The car is the most quiet car I''ve ever owned! Very little road noise and no annoying rattles or squeeks.

I have had some problems which were covered under warranty and were somewhat unexplainable... but since I haven't had a problem.

The suspension is probably the biggest downfall of the car.... way too soft.
but a noticable difference is had by upgrading rim size and rubber... and a big difference is noticed with a Strut Bar!

I think I would give the car an 85/100
and I would definately buy another one.. especially a 2003!!

I know I'll be driving mine for quite a few more years though!!!
