'99 ???mid-year Corolla

Just playing with an on-line parts suppy and it offered two PCV valves- one apparantly fits Corolla manufactured from August, 1997 through July of 1999 and the other fits August 1999 through January 2002. I've copied the page below.

Can anyone tell us whether Corolla did have a mid-year change in 1999? Just checked the door sticker and it says "01/99" so I'm assuming that if I wanted this valve I would order the first one listed.
Does anyone know if there are significant differences that will require knowing specifically which month the car was made for other parts?
Is there anything in the V.I.N. which would tell us or any other way to determine which one we have other than the door sticker?

Vehicle: 1999 Toyota Corolla4DrCE/LE/VE/S
Part: PCV Valve

----- PCV Valve Year: 8/1997-7/1999

----- PCV Valve Year: 8/1999-1/2002

Thanks for any info-
Ted

No, the August '99 production was the '00 model year... the '00 models got the VVTi engine, which is probably the reason for different PCV valves.

Thanks Red-
I thought that might be the explanation after checking the Haynes book. Seems like in 2000 they went to a threaded end. Appreciate you confirming that.
