Broken Speedo Cable

Anyone else have this problem?? i keep snapping them!! WTF
There is 2 parts to the speedo cable that attach together to form one long cable from the tranny to the dash. the part that breaks is always the part that attaches to the tranny?!

good guess itchy, it was close, i took it off aaron's parts sr5..
i'm going to the junk yard to grab another one..
but this time i'm going to dip and soak the thing in grease LOL

toyotaspeed, that thing is 50$ USD omg.. yeah i rather just go to the junk yard and pick one up.. cause its going to cost next to nothing.. i was going to consider buying it from toyota.. but after hearing the price.. haha i think not.

on the ae92 the speedo cable is 2 pieces... there's a lower (shorter) piece and an upper (longer piece that goes into the car).... we're talking about the shorter one that is about 10" long.... the ae86 might have a diff setup....
