Can a catback from an AE102 fit on a AE92?

I'm looking at pics & they look similar, if not exactly the same (bends, hangers, etc).

the muffler has different mounting points/hangers between the E9 and the E10 bodies. If I'm not mistaken, even the bends of the piping are different as well.

From what I see the hangers are spaced a bit farther apart, but that's really not a big problem to rectify. I'm looking into it somemore.

I can see the differences, but that AE92 style is very different than what I have on mine.

My rear muffler hangers are in identical positions as the AE92 pic, but there is an immediate sharp bend right after the muffler, very much unlike the the AE92 pic. The resonator is also in a different position, and that "92" pic also lacks that mini muffler directly after the Cat (similar to the AE 102 pic).

The way mine goes is as follows...

There is a bend that comes out of the Cat (A little bigger than the one in the "102" pic), that goes into a mini muffler. After that muffler, the pipe is reletively straight, but angles around the gas tank (Not as much of an "Z" bend as the "92" pic), and there is a small resonator just before the rear flange. At the rear flange, there is an angle similar to the "102" pic, and that then turns into the main muffler.

I'll take some pics of it when my exhaust comes of, so we can compare the routing with other AE92 exhausts.

Thanks for posting the pics!

Stan, where *did* you get those pics? They certainly don't seem to be scanned out of a shop manual. Do you have access to electronic manual, or is there some on-line service that you use?
Paul.

Are these available to the general public, or only to service professionals? I certainly would love to see exploded view of my Corolla without exploding my Corolla. 'twould be useful indeed.
Paul.

The DVDs are not available to the general public, and you need special software to run them, but if you have a microfiche reader the microfiche are fairly easy to get. Actually, even if you don’t have a microfiche reader most libraries do have readers.

pdrover that is where you can download the toyota EPC, i dont really know if it is legal or not but i dont really see anything bad about it. it isnt like they are trying to make money on selling us these diagrams.

edit: i got it to work now, pretty sweet.
