Red face New Corolla Buying Help

I am considering buying an '04 CE.

After a few hours I got the dealer down
to $12800 ... ($13900 after tax+fees+etc crapola)

Is this a good price for this CE?
Also what would be a hot price for an LE?

Thanks
BD

Smile new car prices

I just bought a new LE using the Consumer Reports price guides. I found the following (confirmed through several dealers here).

Most dealers will sell you a CE (manual, radio upgrade, cruise) for $11,900 before taxes and add ons. An LE similarly optioned is about $13,000. As an example, drive away prices in Atlanta are $13,600 and $14,600 respectively.

I recommend using a dealer price guide (like CU) that is reasonably current on rebates, holdbacks, etc.

Good luck

BD - it really depends on what you got as options to determine just how good the price is.
