by "cutting the airbox" you mean taking the airbox out and replacing it with an intake and filter right??

or is this something new that I may have missed.

i'm not following either. are you guys saying that someone completely took off the airbox of a carb-ed engine? aren't you guys worried about all the junk it's gonna suck without any filtration system? i dunno man, i ain't sacrificing my motor just to get a kick ass sound. you want a loud sound, go buy a set of dual side drafts, that's as loud as hell. peace!

Go back to the camry forum if your only input here is going to be insulting "shitty old cars from the 80s" There are plenty of "shitty" 80s Corollas in here that would hand your lumbering family car its ass at the track.
