Exclamation 03 corolla cold air intake problem

it seems there are two sensors for stock intake system
one of them looks like a tube connected to the airbox
does anybody know what it is for?
the aftermarket coldair intake system i bought did not have a hole for the tube so i didn't connect it to the intake
is that going to cause a problem?
thank you whoever answers my question!

Looks like you got a crappy intake man. That is the vaccum sensor line and yes it should be connected to the intake.

what is that vaccum sensor line for?
is it used to suck out the water vapor from the intake?
it is a brand new cold air intake cost $75

$75 US for a brand new cold air intake.. somehow I don't think that's a Cold air intake.. maybe just a regular intake. I'd return it if I was you, because obviously it wasn't made specifically for your car. Or maybe that's why it was cheaper, because it's a Universal fit intake and you have to drill the hole yourself.

Did you get this from Ebay?

The vacum sensor line doesn't suck up water vaper. It is used for the ECU to gather information about the airflow in your intake tract. If you want more specific info you'll have to do some research.

You don't seem to be getting the point here.

If the intake you bought does not have a fitting to connect the vaccum line you need to either:
A) install a nipple fitting yourself
B) Return the damm thing because it obviously was not made spefically for your car.

Skimping out on parts for a new car like yours is not a good idea. If you want a nice cold air intake then pony up the dollars to get an AEM or TRD one.

which place can i get a "nipple" installed

Hey I can finally see your pictures in that last post although they are very small.
BTW where are you located because your engine bay looks nothing like any 2003 Corolla I have seen unless I am tripping.
It apears that the filter element is IN the engine bay. Therefore it is not a cold air intake.
With a cold air intake, the piping goes into the hole where your airbox used to connect to your resonator in your wheel well (which has to be removed) and the filter is located INSIDE the wheel well, hence it takes cold air from outside, rather than hot engine bay air.
Also the MAF adapter on there looks like it was welded on with a butter knife.

Here is the CAI on my 2001 Corolla to give you a basic idea:

Any performance shop should be able to weld a nipple on the intake tube for a small fee.
