Just the other day i saw an older corolla in very good shape. It had to be in the 70's era.
Any way to the point is there an older corolla that can take a nice large engine like a v6 or something. If so what type of v6 and where can i get the motor mounts and whatever else i need to bolt it up to the trany. How much do you think it will cost and what will be involved.
I just thought it would be awsome if someone had an older corolla that sounded very muscle car like
you would more than likely have to have a hot rod shop or metal fabricator make the mounts. and i dont know if there would be enough room but i have seen a few buick 3.8's in older imports . you will need a trans that bolts up to the 3.8 and have a custom driveshaft and crossmember made.
other options could be:ford 3.8,chevy 2.8,4.3,chrysler 3.9
no matter what route you go with the drivetrain a v6 swap in a old import will be $$$$$

well if it's an older like nova body-style corolla, i'm sure u could put some really ncie engines in that. of course like they said, it'd require a ton of money, but u could do it relatively easily.
I think the 70's Corollas are awsome, but you've got the wrong idea with a v6. The Hemi 3TC that came in them is not powerfull in stock form, but can be very powerfull when built. They can take a lot of boost, or you can get quad carbs and cams and what not. Check this out:
^^ You are right. 3TC was not stock in early seventies. They had 2TC and also some 3Es and maybe others... 3TC is a straight swap for that body style though and seems to be the most popular. I belive the 2TC is a 1.4 and the 3TC is a 1.6.
and yeah...it CAN be done...but i had to sell off the motor to pay bills. i still plan on doing it but the project has been pushed back a few years for financial reasons.
