? about keeping intake manifold cooler

i have a Gen8 '98-'02 ZZE110 corolla and i was wondering if anyone ever tried using one of those insulating paint or some type of heat wrap on thier intake manifolds? ever since i got my corolla i kept on wondering if something like that would help. the metal pipes are exactly best for keep the air cold. and if anyone hasn't tried it, some thoughts would be great too. thanks

I had a thread asking about info on wrapping and i was told that you shouldnt do it as it keeps the metal at a near melting stage. The wrap can turn ur pips red hot and thats not good.

On my thread ppl left links about news articles concerning wrapping indetail. but i forgot what the title of the thread was so i couldnt search for it and im to lazy to go back and find it although im sure its there.

Paint however i didnt know exist so i dont know about that.

sorry i couldnt have been of more help

Naah, no use really, besides even with cold air, the power difference will be pretty much in the ranges of placebo, no actual use.

Yes the exhaust manifold, it'll degrade the metal on normal mild steel header(s).

If you're racing at the track, you can keep a bag of ice on it in between runs.

For the exhaust manifold wrapping it would be a good thing.
Gen8 Corollas have stainless steel manifolds.

There is no reason to wrap the intake manifold.
