LSD, explain please

Ok, I'm still learning the ropes when it comes to cars. I know what a Limited slip differential does, but I've seen people talking about 1.5 way and 2 way LSDs. What's the difference? and what model corollas came with one?

Briefly, referring to 1.5 and 2 way with lsds is referring to where the lsd is active based on the powertrain load.

I'm trying to remember here, but I'm tired. 2 way is full time activation when accelerating/decelerating, 1.5 is active just when accelerating.

Well brink you're half right. A 2 way is indeed active fully when accelerating and deccelerating, but 1.5 way is FULLY active when accelerating and PARTIALLY activated when braking. The 1 way is the one that only works during acceleration.
