Question XRS Vs S/LE/CE

ok i know the difference between teh xrs and the rest of the rolla clan. but wat i am stumped @ is wat is different under the hood?

170hp vs the 130 hp
is it a bigger throttle body?
is it hi performance Cams?
is it a bigger airbox?
bigger pistons? or better compression?

and i know this is the same difference in the celica the regular celicas vs the GTS with the 180hp

XRS has a different engine all together compared to other corollas.

it has the engine from celica GTS tuned for things like economy and flatter torque curve

it's also got high compression and therefore is a higher revving motor. no good for turbo unless you lower compression if you want higher boost.
