Found a 86 GT-S coupe(AE 86)from ad for C$2000

Did GT-S model exist on coupe and hatchback?
Is it equipped with 4A-GE as hatchback?
Are parts more hard to find than hatchback?
Are parts exchangeable on coupe and hatchback?
Dose coupe perform as same as hatchback?
(I guess coupe is slightly lighter than
hatchback)

Should I go 4 it?

if its in good shape, buy it.. don't worry about the coupe/hatch thing..

all the mechanical parts are exactly the same, and only a few interior parts are different..

so i say, buy it! (if it's in good shape)

edit: oops, I forgot to mention that you SHOULDN'T buy it if you:

- don't like fixing things
- don't like rust
- dont have extra money to fix things
- depend on the car to be on the road all the time

in other words, you should be prepared to put with a 15-17 year old car, becasue that is waht you're buying!

2 of the above staements are true for me, don't like rust, and don't have money. u won't see me fixing the car anytime soon as i don't want ot f*** it up, if i know i can't do it, i'll let someone else who knows what they are doing do it, because i love my car. i'm confident in fixing other things, just not automobiles for now.

plus i don't rely on the SR5 soley because number 1: our kick ass van
2: i have a habit of walking alrdy

muhahah so 2/4 is still a pass

hey..we all start somewhere.

if you dunno how, then buy a repair manual, and see if you know anyone that'd be willing to guide you along.

that's what i've been doing the past 2 months..granted the hayne manual sucks..but my friend's pretty competent so it makes up for it i guess.

i'm not saying you learn everythign overnight..but i think i've picked up some info here and there since i picked up the car.

Did GT-S model exist on coupe and hatchback?
Yes.
Is it equipped with 4A-GE as hatchback?
Yes.
Are parts more hard to find than hatchback?
which parts? If mechanical no. I would think that all the parts would be about the same to find.
Are parts exchangeable on coupe and hatchback?
Yes.
Dose coupe perform as same as hatchback?
Yes. It has the all the same mechanical components.
In my opinion the only real difference is look and space in the inside of the car. I have been in both a Hatchback and a Coupe. The Hatchback has more storage space and is a bit heavier that the coupe. Other that that I don't think there is much of a difference because after all they are the same car.
