For a gen 8 Corolla there is no straight and easy swap.
If you want more power and have cash to blow, I would suggest modifying your hood so that you can fit a TRD Supercharger in there. With some lower compression pistons you can up the boost substantially and put down some good numbers.
Or if you have a good performance shop and even more money they can fabricate cutsom motor mounts and you could get a J-spec 2zz-ge and six-speed tranny from a Celica GT-S.
Or you could find a good shop to do a custom turbo set-up for you.
With money, anything is possible. Yout looking at around $3,000 just to get off the ground with these projects I mentioned, the 2zz swap being the most expensive.
If you really wanted to swap a Honda motor, you would pay A LOT because every little thing would have to change for it to work (for example your dash gauges would not be able to use the signal from the honda ECU, ect.)
the only turbos i have seen for stock corolla motor have just been a waste of money and most of the people i have seen that did it usually take it out after a short while
i was thinking about picking up the TRD cupercharger because modding my hood wouldnt really be a problem but even that would take some work because isnt the supercharger only for the 2003 and up models? or is that just based on the body and space permitted?
it's based on the ECU, and the space(and body work) if you get it in there, you'll proabably be the first i've heard of with it on an 02. it really depends on the amount of money you want to spend for the gains you'd acheive. the s/c, at 6 PSI, would give you 40HP more or less(dep on your transmission...you'd get more out of a manual)...for a mere $3k plus install and the new hood. is that worth it to you?

^ yes, what REN69 said is slightly rude and very true.
If you want a fast car why did you buy a Corolla?
If your parents gave it to you then STFU because you should be gratefull you have such a nice car that is reliable and gets great gas milegae (two things that will go-away with a motor swap).
If you have thousands to spend on the swap then trade your Rolla in and use your 3 grand and rolla to put a downpayment on an RSX-S and you will be stoked out
yeah it was givin to me i did not chose it. . .but i was thinking of doing something odd and actually trying to make it fast but looking at the options ima gonna keep it as a daily driver due to Toyota's reliability and get a project car to work on. . .thanks for the help anyway
didn't toysport drop a 3sgte in a 01-02, or was it a 98-00?
either way, i think tehy said they could do it for 10k. i mean if u have money to drop a K20A in there (outrageous waste of money) then u obviously have enough for a 3sgte swap, which owuld cost less, and totally own a K20 powered corolla.
simple solution: sell the rolla and buy a k20 powered honda :p
