You can buy an LSD off of EBay for about $200 I believe. It's a good mod, especially if you want to go drifting. What you should do first, is make the body in good condition. Rims, rims, rims. After that, as for engine, I say put in a short intake! It look beautiful! Wanna see pics?

Oh yeah, you can get a strut bar too, cheap and effective. Make sure to get front and rear. Stereo! Don't forget the MUSIC.

the lsd actually makes it harder to drift when you first learn, because its actaully preventing the rear from steeping out easily.

My advice is to learn how to get the back end out with ease and with different methods (ie: try clutch kicking, hard braking, faint motion, etc.) as i've heard from many guys, that they are finding it somewhat harder to drift now that they got their lsd.

The lsd requires you to enter a drift at a much faster speed, so get comfortable with how your car reacts and how to control it.

As for the other mods....ask yourself what you want of the car, thena dress those needs. To many people just don't know what they want from their 86 and as a result set the most unrealistic and quite often, un-obtainable goals.

yeah my car is stock so i guess no lsd for me. my car came with a custom intake and that is all....i think i need a swap but not sure what engine i want yet....would the 20v have more potential over the 4agze in the long run? cuz my friend is telling me to go with the 20v.....but i believe that it is gonna cost me more to mod a n/a....basically i'm debating between the 20v or the 4agze. thx.

have you looked up anything on the web about these 2 powerplants?

does ur friend drive a car with a 20V?

if the answer to both questions are no, i suggest you go look up info on it.

yeah, you're right , the gze and 20v have very different characteristics.. the gze is probably more fun on the street due to the torque and would also probably be an easier swap to do..

20V is more about peaky power high up in the rev's..

depends what you like i guess

but even if you swap in either engine, you still won't have a "5L eater" or anything like that

Engine swap? Why? Is your engine dead?
I really don't care that just means that another 4AGE will be up for grabs for any one who needs a spare.
Early mods that I belive would be good are:
stainless steel breake lines
prefomance break pads
suspension upgrades
prefomance exahast
perfomance air filter
prefomance oil filter? (I don't know what this does for enhancing prefomance.)
use synthetic oil
LSD (unless you want to drift then save this for a little latter)

i have a quick question.....does it matter what kind of gasoline u use for ur trueno's?cuz there's like 3 types of gasoline in the gas station and does the more expensive one mean better performance towards ur engine or something..../??? (87 octane, 89 midgrade, 91 supreme) something like that??
