No clue parts... please help

I'm trying to change the vehicle speed sensor on a 91 corolla. The odometer and the speedometer does not work and i figured that it is the vss. I actually went to the junkyard and got some parts but took everything that actually connects to the transmission. The only 2 parts is the pictures below. Can someone tell me what these parts are and what they do?!?!?!? I changed the triangle part in my car but that did not solve anything. Thanks for the help.

The triangle one is shifter switch. I'll say the other one is speed sensor if the shaft can spin.
