Oh man that sucks!

I was wondering why the picture only shows you going 185-195 km/h. Hahaha, you hit 200 km/h more than enough times. You're one crazy fella! Risking our lifes with old RE71's without any brake on the highway, going at an excess of 200km/h.

It was fun. We all got home safely and without a ticket!

Have you gotten a silencer yet, Ken? I bought the gold rims today and they look mighty fine! I think I'm going to get a set of RE71's in a couple of months. I liked how your tires gripped. I can't afford no RE92's. Way out of my budget. Hehehe :wink:

As for the head, is there any warranty from your shop, saying that if the head was improperly installed that they will be liable for it? (i.e. it shooting a hole through my hood)

hehe well i'm sure the guys'll install it properly or at least they're certified and have DONE it before! hehe they were telling the stories of the AE86 they had n all the work they did on it lol

Ken, remember you told me that you could help me get the head swapped for around $600? Do you know what the labour alone would cost.. Excluding the replacement parts (i.e. gasket, plugs, whatever).

Just labour alone. Do you remember how much?

hmm i think it's like 500 labour n they could get gaskets and whatever it's missing for 100?

not sure.. remember to talk to them first though! let them see what ur missing and get the quote tell em i told u to go n u use to go to elite cuz they've see ur car! hehe

I don't think I'm going to swap the head this year though. I'm going to leave it for next year. Get a nice set of winter tires and I'm going to practice snow driving in my four door. Woohoo, TAKUMI, here I come!

Kevin, you cannot get re71 in canada. they are discontinued from Bridgstones line. The only place i found them is in the US.

I'm telling you, ditch the head swaping sh**...buy a motor and i'll put it in for you. YOu're wasting your money otherwise.

get the hoosier dot slicks for track....i think i'm gonna grab some...i've been hearing good stuff about them..from racers themselves. either that or the yokes a032r's. or maybe i'll pick up some jdm tires...advan neova's or falken azenis.

Andrew, the gold rims I'm referring to are those from the 1985 GT-S model Corollas. The same ones on my car, but painted gold.. factory color too.

I'm likely to go with Kumhos for tires.

nick: yup! that's the one.. did some body work on it n filled up the holes he left me lol i'm thinking of either a 20V supercharged or just supercharging it.. how much would it be w/ everything? like a total sum thing.. it's gonna be next summer's project.. hopefully.. hehe
