The O2 sensor is right on the downpipe after the manifold joint.
The coolant temperature sensor is on the water pipe located between the battery and the transmission, actually the pipe runs right over the transmission, and its right in front of the joint where the thermostat is located. There's a switch that connects right up to the sensor, and if you pull this switch when the car is on, the fan should come on right away. I'll see if I can get some pics.
Kool thanks do i need any special tools? I went to my kmechanic with a o2 sensor and it wasnt right it only had one wire not 4.... see i also swapped my engine for a 4age mr2 engine.... and a guy at part source told me that without the mr2 computer and wiring harness ill always have idling trouble.... i didnt believe him and called toyota... they said as long as its got the same engine code. Is part source right?
^well, i've had O2 sensor problem b4, and i've checked Canadian tire, napa, bosch, and they never have the right after market o2 sensor for our car.... our car (ae92) need 4 wire O2 sensor....
AE86, MR2 (AW-11) takes one wire O2 sensor. but if your mechanic said you take 4 wire O2 sensor, so it has the AE92 harnesses still....

fuk cheap dood!! when it comes to shit like this its not worth it to go cheap.. even my mechanic says so. Go OEM for the sensor, it will be a perfect fit and probably save you a lot of hassle.

yea, and the 1ZZ-FE uses the same 4 wire O2 sensor as AE92GTS.
theres 3 kind of O2 sensor, which is 1 wire, 2 wires, and 4 wires.
and toyota had to use all 3 different O2 sensor on the 4AGE/FE
Well does this sound like an o2 sensor even? It really only happens after the engine gets hot like on a cold day it rarely happens but my car will sit at 500rpm if its hot out and ive been driving for 10 minutes then it kicks in and stalls while idling. Or if I have just come off the highway from going really fast it will drop. But as soon as i accelerate again the engine kicks back in. But if im stoped then i have to turn the car back on and rev it to keep it up there, and get somewhere and let it idle for a bit.
