I heard you can get a AE92 converted to RWD but I think it costs $10,000 plus. How ever how it will handle and run will not be known until it is done. It's not worth the risk of desterbing the cars balance.
But I don't belive that you are serious about that. Are you?
I'd imagine if you were you would just get an AE86. But that would be interesting to see a RWD AE92. I've caught rumors of a few around in the U.S. that are used for drag racing. But like I said they are rumors and may not be true at all.
well, i'm convinced. i think i'm gonna be doing a complete jdm conversion on my 86. swap over the dash and the steering column to the right, full kouki bumpers, tails, and sideskirts w/ jdm vins!!! hahahaha...no...but i'm serious, time to convert. consider this: project rueno/sprinter.
"want want want never gets" that's what my ma always used to say when I continually bugged her about wanting something, the philosophy is pretty much correct. If you want something it's not gonna happen, if you passionately need something it will happen. If you passionately need somehting, and you understand what it is your needing, you will beg, borrow, steal do whatever it takes to put it all together.
When it comes to old cars, passion is what it's all about, if you don't have it you might as well give up right now!
my 2 cents on the first thread and all others that resemble that type of thread
The reason why I was saying I hope he is not serious about it is if he is going to use his current AE92. I sure as hell would not do it to the any current car I'm driving that extra work has been it to.
I belive that a job like this would require a second AE92 to act as the experiment. Because there can only really be two out comes from this type of conversion. One is every thing goes well and a new drifting monster is created in which case all the new custom made parts that made his AE92 RWD could be moved over to his current one or the other way around moving all mods over to the new beast. The other way is the **** hits the fan. The balance of the car is now completely off and the car has the handling of a shopping cart. Not exactly somthing you want your car to be.
But yes it is true if you have the money you can have anything you want to be done, done and working right.
