whoa Malaysia came with 1.3 litre??? i did not know that....
in North america, the AE102 came with either 4AFE (1.6 litre) and 7AFE (1.8 litre)
whats popular in north america is to put an 4AGE or a 20V engine after the engine blew.... the 20V is only available in australia/asia never came to america. im wondering what engine is yours?
um, i dunno guys..... toyota did some weird things with corollas in other countries.... there's a chance he has an E series motor in there (so it would be an ee101, not an ae101).....

Well i thought of that too...
Is asia we have 1.3, 1.5, n 1.6.
The most popular one is 1.6.
In malaysia there are a lot of people now mod their corolla.
but all of them only have sound not enough power.
toyotaspeed90,
Well i think there is one thread would explain that.

get a MAP GZE... VooDoo here at TN (from the Philippines) just finished his swap in an AE101 sedan and he seems very happy. i wouldn't go with the 20V coz they don't have enough torque to haul a big body corolla. maybe if it was an AE92 coupe/sedan then i'd go with the 20V. just my .02!
michael9413... do you have any extra grill and bumper like ones you have? those are nice man!

well when did the NZ series come out? he might have a 2NZ
The easiest swap for your EE100 (or is it an EE101, with a 4E-FE?) is a 4E-FTE out of an EP82 Starlet GT Turbo or EP91 Starlet Glanza V (Glanza S only had the 4E-FE). Puts out about 135 hp, and a respectable amount of torque... plus, it's easily upgraded.
Of course, there's always the old standbys, being a blacktop or silvertop 4A-GE or a 4A-GZE... the 4E-FTE is the easiest swap, so I've heard. Also, if you don't have a ton of cash to spend, you might consider a regular 1.6 4A-FE, or even a 1.8 7A-FE (if getting from Japan, it can come out of an AE112/115 Sprinter Carib or AT211 Corona Premio. Having driven an EE101 Corolla for a couple of days in Britain, I can tell you that even the 7A-FE in my '93 AE102 is a vast improvement over the 4E-FE. (the car I drove was a late model EE101, so it had the 75-bhp 4E-FE, and not the 89-bhp version found in later models) The 7A-FE made 120 hp in most JDM models, while some had the more efficient 115 hp 7A-FE Lean Burn.

We're all looking for something.... Something to be...
When you consider your daily drive would you consider Automatic or Manual Transmittion??? I drove some 1.6 litters '01 Corolla before... the Automatic gearbox did quite well when i'm driving... The power is ok...
I don't know how...

Automatic is the lazy-man's choice. It is definitley the easiest to daily drive. But for me, M/T is the only way to go on a 4-cylinder car. It's the only way to get the full power out of them.
