Question Turbo/Supercharger

I am just wonder which is better for an inline 4 engine; like a corolla
Turbo or Supercharger?
Also does it worth the money for the boost?

turbo gives you more HP, not as much torque. s/c is more reliable and gives you more torque, but less HP. the latter is less hard on the motor.

Also, what are your goals?

You can do mad sick stuff with turbo's, but for my Camry, I can have a big, lazy SC giving my 300 HP day in, day out, for years.

err super is better for me since it gives you power from initial takeoff. turbo gives you more max power but it doesn't kick in all of the time and if i t does it has to be fricken annoying as heckkkk.

fun city driving = super
race others = turbo.

have your pick. super doesn't hurt the engine much, turbo wears it down. happy happpy!

"err super is better for me since it gives you power from initial takeoff."

Plenty of Turbo cars hit max torque right off the line like an SRT-4, volvos, 1.8Ts, etc., they all have flat torque curves.

"super doesn't hurt the engine much, turbo wears it down."

Any type of boost will result in increased engine wear.
How much depends on how much boost and how well it is tuned, this is true for Turb and Super Chargers.
