Warranty options...worth it?

I am a new user to this forum, and became the proud owner of a 2003 Corolla S today. It has 30,000 km on the clock, and I got it for $16,300 CAD plus tax, etc. I wouldn't call it the deal of the century, but not bad considering the same dealer was selling a 2004 CE with the same mileage for $15,300. Now to my question...I've been offered the following warranty packages:

1) Paint, Rust and Fabric lifetime warranty for $999. I'm not crazy about the paint part, but I might go with the rust and fabric.

2) Comprehensive ECP (extra care protection) warranty for 3 yrs/60,000 km beyond the standard warranty. Covers powertrain and other major components, plus has roadside assistance (flat tire, battery boost, towing, etc.)

Being new to Toyota, I'd like to get some opinions of these packages from you veterans out there. Are these worth the investment?

Is this from Toyota Canada?? or did you buy the car from a used car lot???

Yes, this was from a Toyota Canada dealership, so on one hand I have confidence that I'm not buying a lemon, but I plan on keeping this car for probably 10 years, so I'm thinking about what kind of condition this car will be in by then (assuming proper maintenance etc.) I guess a good sign is that I see many Corollas from the 1980's still on the road.

Worth it or not... it is depends on individual person...
Some of them don't give it a damn of that...
They want to just MOD that car after that...

The Comprehensive ECP is ok... nice one coz if you have any problem you jus call and they will take care of it....
In Malaysia, the Insurance company will give along as a package...
I'd been in this situation of Puncture tire before, i just call and they will fixed it...

I think you won buy a bad car from the Original Toyota Dealer...
Only second hand dealer i have a little doubt...
