Please provide much more information.
What year and trim is this car and what motor does it have?

Manual tranny swaps are never easy. The right place to start is to find a M/T that will bolt right up to your engine. But after that you have to change a bunch of components. Search the Camry forum and/or the hardcore forum to find threads about other members who have done M/T swaps like Ratko.

Hello, my brother is looking into swapping in a manual tranny too, he has a:
02 Corolla S
ZZE110L engine,
A245E transaxle.

Did some searches but I couldnt find info on which manual tranny would bolt directly...

Thanks in advance!

^^ cabbage ZZE110 is the chassis code, not the engine code.
The engine code is 1ZZ-fe and he just has to grab a 5-speed from another 98-2002 Corolla.
^celvertible I have no idea, post in the celica forum or even better the hardcore/tech forum and you will get your answer.
This is the Corolla forum so we don't know much about celicas.

Thanks Chris for your help!!

I knew that engine didnt sound right! Im out of the country right now and asked my brother to look at the VIN tag... ...did they change them on newer cars?! Im more familiar with toyota trucks

After searching for an hour .... does anyone know what the 5-speed trannies for 98-02 Corollas are called?! Is there like a Corolla history page?!

Thanks!!
