Smile Finally got my Rolla

Finally got my 1981 Corolla 1.8. Its a TE72 with the 3TC engine. It's kinda rough right now, but me and my dad are going to put some work into it. Can't close the driver door without lifting it, and you have to have the window down to close it before the handle on the inside is gone. Hey, for 600 bucks its awesome though. Everything on it is original, even the turn dial radio. Future plans include webers, header, and exhaust system.

TE72

QUESTION: is that a liftback or a coupe?

SUGGESTION:
- 3TC bored and stroke to 2L + dual 48 SKs = VTEC killa!
- turbocharged 3TC + NOS = V8 pester

or if you wanna go all out..
- 3TGTE

its a coupe. Thanks for the suggestions. I doubt I'll have the money to turbocharge, but I really want to make this thing into a VTEC killer. There's tons of civics in town that think they're all that. (But my dad has his Turbo II RX-7 to put them into place for me right now)

there's an idea..... put turbocharged rotary in it! Puerto Ricans have been doing this for years, ask your dad he has a spare motor, hehehehe!

btw, you might already know this site but here's the link anyways, lots of KE and TE corollas... www.teamtoyminator.org

Yea, love that site. Too bad it's hard to find turbo rotaries around here, and too bad i'm so short on cash. Maybe once I'm outta high school I'll consider.

Oh btw, what kind of muffler would go good on it? I'm getting the PaceSetter header, but I've heard an UltraFlow muffler might hurt low end torque/

i'm not good with name brand mufflers. all i can say is if you go with a performance exhaust is DO NOT GO TOO BIG! coz it's gonna sound like a fart can UNLESS your 3TC is fully built and you're running dual carb set-up... you wouldn't care about the exhaust coz all the sound is coming from the front, hehehehe! nothing can replace the sound of dual webers revving.... oooh!

stock set-up don't go over 2" piping, just my opinion!

here's another pic for you... (3T base motor with twin spark plug turbocharged twin cam motor, oh and it's chain driven not belt )
