Installing a strut bar is incredibly easy. Just make sure you tighten the strut mount bolts back to the specified torque with a torque wrench.
TRD makes a very nice strut brace, but they are very expensive.
You can get a universal one for cheap, but they aren't as stiff because they are adjustable and might be made of heavier material that is not as stiff, like steel versus titanium.

The TRD brace for 03+ is $125 at any number of online places.
Prices go down from there.
Do a Google search for "Corolla Strut brace"

you'll get less flex in the body with a tower bar. it'll definitely make a difference on the track when you're pushing it to the limits. and it looks great having a nice polished bar too! you can't go wrong either way!

if you need someone with a torque wrench, just bring it over to the next meeting. but i need the torque specs first? On my corolla it's like 13-23 ft/lbs. of torque. Didn't know they require so little torque.

the strut bar i mean. You don't have to of course. I'm pretty sure any shop outside would just slap on the tower (strut) bar. But I've managed to overtighten my bolt and snapped the thread. But that was a lesson well learned. Haha now I do everything according to the torque specs.

Yeah I noticed the car's front end was a little more ridgid, the turn in was a little more responsive. Nothing huge.
The RS bar is adjustable like mine. If you get one like that to save money (mine was $50.00) then make sure you tighten the piss out of the adjusting bolts because if you don't there will be some flex and the whole point of the strut bar is wasted.
I have a pic of my engine bay somewhere so you can see mine...

I bought it long ago from a website that is now defunct.
It's an OBX strut bar though. Check their website..
