I really don't intend on fixing these soon because I have designated it as my parts car but I was wondering what was causing some problems.

1. leaks oil. I know the problem to this one the hoses are old and worn out and need to be replaced.

2. loud screaching noise comming from the engine. I can make it stop by moving the car in revers and forward again. It is not there when the car is moving but apears whan breaking and idle. I think it might be a lose fan belt but I don't know because most of the belts are new.

3. broken fule gadge. I figure this might be a electical problem or the thing in my gas tank broke.

4. This one I'm at a total loss for. when I perss hard on the accelorator my exahaust will shoot out allot of water with brown and red crap in it.

the screeching is just one of the belts....toyota is notorious for that.... just tighten it till it stops.....

Sounds like coolant to me, cuz toyotas coolant is red, and the brown can be the older toyota coolant (which infact was brown in coloration, or beige), or just plain rust. But I'd say you have a blown gasket if it does that, but I could be wrong too...

Not a big deal, unless your block is cracked.

Yep, just a belt, as people have said. Easy to fix and nothing serious.

Again, nothing to worry about, as long as you keep track of how much you drive so you don't run out of gas.

Now this sounds bad. Coolant in the engine is not good.

Wow a master mechanic at work. LOL!
And using this same theory if my lock on my door didn't work I'd have to replace the whole door. If there is a little dent in the car replace the body. If I have a flat tire I would have to replace the wheel and the suspension.
Oh no! Is that a paint chip!?! Now it's a write off. God no!

The engine was swapped 5 years ago so I am doubtfull it needs to be swapped so soon.
But like I said this has been designated as a parts car and ripping it appart after I find another one. When this happens I'm going to pull the engine apart and rebuild it and then let it collect dust in my garage (if the next one has an engine).

seriously tho

i think trying to track down those problems and having them repaired, it would be cheaper to drop in a new old 4age..

but since this will be a "parts car" i figure it will be a good time to accelerate your search for a permenant ae86.

just keep it for now and drive it to the ground..
just not as hard as you would want to.

Trueno92 is just being nice... he's just trying to not say "You bought a Lemon"

But then again a 16 year old car... anything can happen and probably will be careful not to drive too fast around the twisties or corners your car might snap in two.

I knowingly bought the lemon. The only thing I didn't expect was the broken frame. But I decided to keep it any way cuz I only paid $400 for it. I figured it was a good deal for the parts.
