newbie question about oil filter location

Hi, my friend has a 98 Corolla, and I can't find his oil filter on first glance? anyone got pics or can you describe where to look for it please?

it is located under the exhaust manifold on the passenger side front of the engine. easiest to get to from under the car.

Haha that's kind of wrong dude. It is where you describe it, but the 1zz-fe has the INTAKE manifold in the front! So yeah, if you look down between the first and second intake runners from the left, you should see it. It screws up into the block from the bottom.
