engine swap (yes, another one)

I wanted to gather some opinions on swapping a 4AC out of an 86 corolla to be replaced with a 4age. I know how to change engines and have done so before, but not with toyotas, so i'm unfamilliar with the compatibilities. Would this be conventional? (i.e. not an extremely difficult mad scientist project for minimal gain) I want to do this swap because I can get my hands on a good 4age for really cheap, and i know they have decent power. so, bomb me with some facts!

it's been done, i think it's a very straight forward swap.

i'm pretty sure there's a write-up on how to do it on club4ag

nothing is straight forward.. I believe the biggest problem you will have is going from a motor with carbs and no computer to a fuel injected motor with a computer, so wiring it all up will take up your time.

the engine and tranny will bolt with the same mounts....but you need to get a new computer and harness. look for one from a gts. this is where i found that stuff for mine.
