taking out the headboard

my headliner is basically just held up by the coat hangers right now and the rearview mirror. i tried temporarily fixing it today and that was a pain and i got no where.

so i then found some stuff online about basically just taking the headboard out of the car, scrapping off the foam, and re-gluing it all back on.

however, is there an easy way to take off the side trim, i believe there are clips, but i don't know how to take them off, for fear i might break a clip.

does anyone know a good way to take off the inside trim that holds up the headboard?

I have a 1992 toyota corolla

so basically you just pull the sides off and the clips will snap and not break off?

that's what Derrick does regularly. i think he's pulled his headliner out more than some people clean their car.
