Cold air intake

Hello ,
anybody founded and tested a Cold air intake tube on a corolla XRS?

Not sure if there is something on the market or a kit for a matrix XRS could fit

Trying to find some performance!

TRD doesnt make nor do they have plans on making a CAI for the XRS... (no S/C either). There should be one sometime soon by AEM or Injen, I dont think the one from the Matrix will work for somereason.

it wont on its own, plus airboxes nowadays have a pretty high flowrate. VW airboxes can supply to around 300hp without problems.

Sure it will. Go over to newcelica.org and you can see dyno results on the same engine before and after a CAI install. They will net you a few Horsepower on the high end. A well made one will give you gains accross the whole rev range

No - officially the Matrix XRS TRD CAI does not fit Corolla XRS.

Now with that said, there is "rumour" that witha few mods you could force it to fit.

Personally I'd wait until TRD officially launches this.

How's it going.. hope this helps for you. I just bought an '05 Corolla S about a week ago and tried to install an AEM CAI that I got handed down from my friend. It was confirmed to fit the '03 & '04 Corollas but when I installed it, I found out that the engine in the '05 is a little different which the older CAI's will not fit. Sorry. I even called AEM and they said that they haven't come out with the CAI's for the '05 yet. I think we just have to be patient and wait for the CAI's for the '05 from TRD,Injen, and AEM. hang in there. Let me know if you find any CAI's that fit an '05 Corolla S. Thanks.

I read on one of the downloads from a TRD instruction stating a conflict that CAI can not be installed where fog lights are installed? So basically the corolla S 2004 and 2003 cannot have CAI?
