questions about my 2000 corolla

I just got a 2000 Corolla LE with a manual transmision after being tired of the insurance and gas costs of a 1998 eclipse gst.

It has 52k miles on it right now and im trying to find out some things about it, as im new to toyotas.

My main question is about the timing belt. On my old eclipse, it had to be changed at 60k miles, but I;ve heard its longer for toyotas (ive also heard that these cars have timing chains too). If this is true, what is the maintenence schedual for these?

My only other questions are: what kind of oil is used for the engine and transmission and how much of each?

Thanks!

-Brian

yes timing chain...
I reccomend 5w-30 Mobile One(Synthetic) for the corolla. The 5W30 has a wider temp range than the 10w30.
For the manual transaxel you can run Redline gear oil, that shit is supposed to be great.
For a shift boot you can get one off of a 2000-2001 Corolla S at the junkyard or a universal one will fit.

The Rolla must seem slow as shit after driving a GST
