I have a 88 corolla sr5 with a 4a-f and I was wondering about something. If I ducted a fan into the intake for the carb how would this effect my performance and in what ways could it hurt my car if any. Just wondering because someone told me it was a bad idea. Just wondering. Any advice would be helpful.
It is a bad idea, because not only are you getting hot air from the radiatior fan, you are depriving the engine of much needed cooling, especially when idling.

Theres a solution to that one... have a pull cord in the car next to your hood latch

I admire your carb set up. Please tell me how you did this, and did it help? I was thinking of making a plate to mount a 4bbl to it but if you can do THAT, I'd like to try it too.
