HMMMM....Speedometer

Well like Like I mentioned in my first post...I just bought the car and I am now working out some problems...so now it takes me to the speedometer...it's completely dead...what could be some things i could check out to fix it? Thanks in advance...

first i would check to see if the mileage still rolls over.... if it does, then it's your gauge.... if it doesn't, then it's probably the cable
