corolla starter

How do you remove the starter on a 1998 corolla and where is it located. If you guys could show it in picture, I would truly appreciate it very much. I'm new and would like to learn it before going to a professional mechanic.

The alterantor is attached to the engine on the passenger side and the accesory belt goes around it's pulley. It can be distinguished from the water pump and A/C compressor by the copper-looking brushes that are visible through the slots in the case.
In general to remove it, you must remove the electrical connections, the belt must be de-tensioned, then a few bracket-bolts removed and it should come off.

is the starter having problems. when i took my car in last they said that if it is having troubble starting that it could be the contact points- which seems to be my problem, i just havnt taken it in yet.
