As some of you might know My Corolla GT-S has a broken fram and I've been searching for another one/ body. My dad knows a guy who went to Alberta with a car trailer and he said he could pic me one up. I'd ether wire him the money or I'd pay him back when he comes back to Ontario. After just looking on auto trader and seeing 4 Corolla GT-S's for sale he better come back with something. If he returnes empty handed he is getting a ninja star to the nuts.

I'm not really expecting to find mint. I have all good parts (but needs a tune up) and a clean interior. All I need is a body whith a frame that is still intact.
But all because it is 16 years old doesen't mean that it had to be restored to be i great shape. It just has to have been owned by some one who babied thier car and kept up on any problems that had arisen.

My friend Has a 1986 Dodge Ram van and it is still in mint shape because he fix something as soon as it starts having problems. My dad has a 88 Olds and it is in fairly good shape except for minor interior problems.

I agree... sometimes, I see '76 Civics driving around! Hahaha... those, I think, might be a little newer, but anyways... the oldest Civics STILL driving around!!! Hahaha... that's nuts.

Vodoo... is your AE86 a hatch or coupe?

Hatchback that looks the same as this one. But mine has lots of rust.

Sorry if the liftback thing through you off but I got told off once because aparently a hatchback and a liftback are different in some minor unimportant way.

Well, I think hatchback opens more than a liftback... I think so.

for ae86's, the liftback is the hatchback..

anyway, i'm getting my alberta car this june.. its only spent 1 winter in ontario (unfortunatetly this one winter already caused a small rust spot on the hatch)

but other than that, its good..

all for less $1400.. muhahahahaha!

My guy is comming back from Alberta in a few days. I got the ninja star just incase.

Actually my dad whent to 2 scrapyarsd way out in middle from nowhere. I think he was looking for soething for the Olds. But at the first one they had a GT-S body in really good shape. Too bad the owner squished it 2 hours befor my dad got there. He thought nobody would want it. He was a bit sad because he just lost out o a sale.
The second one had one in decent shape as well. Full body still intact with minor rust. But my dad can't tell the difference between a 80's Celica and a 80's Corolla.
The said car was burgandy (bad colour) and had red interior. Another odd thing is that it only said GT on the back. Mabey the S got rubbed off.

So if my guy does not pull through looks like I'm doing 4 hours of driving to see what that car really was and if the frame is still intact.

i think its a long shot to go looking for a good ae86 body in junkyards in ontario

all of the ones i have seen are rusted.. some not too badly, but still nothing worth saving from the wreckers..

i know a few people (including my dad) who've junked early/mid-80's toyotas only because of the rust, not because of mechanical problems..
