2004 Corolla CEL @ 8000 miles

Just got to around 8400 miles with my 2004 Corolla LE and the CEL suddenly came.
Anyone had similar problem and can suggest me a quick remedy before I have time to bring it to the dealer?
(everything drives fine......)
thanks for helping.

take it to the dealer since it's under warranty and won't cost you anything

Which dealer did you go to?

I go to Tejas Toyota in Humble for everything and they treat me great. I bet if you went there they wouldn't have charged you.

Heck, they throw in the occasional free car wash when I go to get my oil changed. All major work gets a car wash and interior cleaning
But then again, I've spent a lot of money there in service and we've bought cars from them so they keep us happy.

you are saying your car throw a cel because the gas tank cap was not tightly closed?

yes, you must tighten the cap until it snaps (15lbs) I've had it hand tight and the CEL comes on.
