Unhappy cv joint stuck

The outer cv joint on the passengar side is totally stuck on my 2000 corolla, in the repair manual it says to open the c-clamp and pull the whole joint off, but i think there is an inner c-clamp under the cv joint housing. i have had many different aproaches to taking the cv joint off, nothing has worked. Any advice would be very helpfull
thanks

P.S. I heard some of the outer joint on later corollas cannot be removed. true or false?

There was a whole discussion on removing axles/servicing CV joints recently. Try doing a search in the Corolla forum using "axle" "joint" "Corolla" or words like that.
