Question Engine hop-ups available?

Just wondering if there are any ECU upgrades available for the 2001? Also, has anyone supercharged a 2001? Thanks.

There is a piggy-back fuel re-mapping computer called the Unichip. On a stock eninge or one with a few bolt-ons it will only net you 5-8 HP. However it is more usefull as a supporting mod for forced induction.

As for Supercharging, the TRD Supercharger fits on the 1zz-fe, so it should fit the engine. However the enigne compartment is to small on the 02 and below corollas so TRD does not sell it for that application. It is possible that it would fit with modifications such as a custom hood scoop to allow clearance, but so far I have not seen it done.

You can supercharge with the TRD one but you need a custom hood.

Just do a turbo set up, they make a turbo can't remember the make or the site I saw it on....

no ECU upgrades available

to supercharge the 00+ corollas you need a new hood, radiator, and maybe ecu..

I agree with corollin and it would definitely be better and cheaper to turbocharge your engine than to supercharge.
