No power when acc & on

Hi,

i have a toyota corolla 97' and when the ignition is to "acc" or "on", there isn't any power to the electronic devices (radio, side mirrors, clock). I checked all the fuses are they are ok.

i suspect it is the ignition as it is hard to pull the key out sometimes. i opened up to check the continuity when "acc" and "on" of the ignition switch. There are 6 or 7 pins (sorry, can't remember the exact number).
These are the results :

ACC : pin 1 & 2 are continuous.
On : pin 1 & 2, pin 6 & 7 are continuous.

Are these correct? If i am not mistaken, i read in a toyota corolla book, there should be 3 set of continuous pins.

Thanks.
