Attention all old school rolla dedicates!!

I just got a new 88 corolla and I don't know a thing about it I want to do things to it but need ideas. It is a four door sedan and I don't know what the sub model is although if someone can tell me how to find that out I would appreciate it. But I am haveing problems, see before it came to me it had been sitting for a while like a year and I am having troubel starting it the battery is fully charged and it makes a rrrrr sound and then nothing. So if anyone has any ideas or help for me let me know.thanx
