Change brake pads of 2002 Corolla

Does anyone know if you can push the calipers together with a G-clamp on a 2002 Corolla? Or do you have to wind them back like on some other cars. Please let me know for front and back and if there is any difference!

Disc brake calipers, both front and rear are the same on all the Toyotas...just use the C-clamp... to contract the pistons when installing new brake pads. ( what is a G-clamp by the way?)

In Australia, the large clamp with a winder on it is called a G-clamp
