Hi all, some of us have met.

Andrew Lee, Ken, Kevin, Zaheer, Derek (and some others, I'm lously at remembering names).

I'm looking forward to spending time on this forum. I usually post at dori-kaze where all my old western friends post.

I picked up my car a year ago in Alberta, and have since had a budget all-steel body job done on the car, added Advan wheels, KVR pads and brembo rear rotors. I bought it primarily for the fact that it had a really solid chassis.

The car has a K&N mod, a 2.25" exhaust with hi-flow 2.25" cat and superturbo muffler (the muffler has to go). It has recent OEM springs and sensatracs (soon to be replaced with the new Illuminas in my garage). And not too long ago the engine was re-ringed, it's very strong.

I don't ever intend to part with this car, it will be a long term project. This winter I intend to experiment with a turbo, finish up my suspension/brake mods, and add a KAAZ lsd.

Hope to see you all soon, I'm particularly interested in the meet in October. Hopefully I'll have the chance to hang out and chat a bit longer than I did at the Supra meet.

I'd really like to see some more AE86's, and meet some other owners including Kenneths ( I saw your car outside the Royal bank on steeles in Markham last week, mine was on the other end of the parking lot ) and the really clean red coupe in Oshawa with the 15" wheels.

Andrew Lee, it sounds like you and i may have a common interest in a turbo project.

Hey, Neil, where did you get your Advans anyway? I seem to recall that you got them pretty cheap.

Andrew Lee, so much for your secret :smile: I would like to play with a turbo, but if I can't get a cast manifold for LHD I won't bother. I also have a design for a 1709cc stroker, I'm going to get a quote on the machine work and parts this week and see if it's even an option.

4Aaron GE, I got the wheels at import wheel and tire in Markham, they bought out the old stock from a wheel dealer that went out of business, and with it came the Advans, the only set. I go in and check every once in a while to see if they have come across anything else for the AE86, so far nothing else.

3S-FE, I will be at the next meeting for sure, unless of course I have an opportunity to get some track time.
