XRS Cam switch RPM

I just picked up my Corolla XRS on Wednesday 9/22, traded out of my 04 Solara. Needed 4 doors and the auto trans on the Solara sucked.

I ran the car up to redline once when I test drove it, and the second cam (I guess) didn't give the full hit until 7k rpm. I read in reviews that it came on at 6k. Is this normal?

It comes on really hard, about what a 50hp shot of NOS would feel like on a regular Corolla. At the top of the rev range it pulls as hard as my V6 Solara did. Plus it handles WAY better and I love the 6spd.

Thanks for the help.
