to those good at electrical/wiring

well... i've had the power folding mirrors from a japanese AE92 on my car for almost a year now, but when i originally bought them there was no relay set for it.....

i've tried before to have people with these to tell me what wires do what (all they need is a simple multimeter and about 10 minutes) but i have never been able to find the full info needed.

Had a friend get me a relay from an ae101..... turns out not only is it not the same wiring colors, but the one he got me is for power mirrors, not to control the folding motors.....

so, with the panel already off, i figured the following out:

4 wires aren't being used....
Blue with red line = B
Green with red line = G
Yellow with red line = Y
Brown with white line = W

colors don't mean anything, they're just for reference.....

so... here's what happens:

B + : G - = mirrors fold out
B - : G + = mirrors fold in

any other sort of wiring (ie, Y + : W - does nothing or vise versa.... and positive or negative to B or G and the other wire on Y or W does nothing either).

I would make a simple relay to control this, however, if there's a consant power, the motor doesn't stop once it's folded in or outwards...... meaning, there's no relay to make it stop (which i'm assuming is obviously the job of the other 2 wires)

any clues of how to set this up?

I will have to go have a look at mine when i get off of work... i dont think i will be much help tho... all i've been able to find are the wires that control them, not where they go on the relay, but then on mine, the relay is internal. It's got em all in the switch to control the power mirrors. Havent installed the folding mirrors yet. Will let you know when i do.

nobody? lol.... one of these days i'll hook a multimeter up to the other wires and see if they feed some sort of voltage or something to turn the voltage being supplied to the motor off.... if so, i could figure out how to wire a relay in... only tricky part will be figuring out how to reverse the polarity
