Super Charger & CAI

Quick Question for the experts on here. A friend of mine told me that if I purchased a Super Charger I would have to get rid of my CAI.

Is that true?

If so, Why??

To be honest, I don't know anything about engines. It's a TRD CAI. I have never actually even seen a charger. So I don't know what fits.

You'll have to mod the CAI to fit with the supercharger... The air intake ports are in different places.

For my Camry, the CAI actually helped the S/C.

Lost

Oh shit, Now I'm really lost

So I would just be better off selling the CAI?

too much hot air.. Stock Cat can't handle it.. thats why TRD supercharger manual said "your warrenty will be void if you use any kind of CAI)..

That's some good info.

Is there any kind of aftermarket cat that would handle that kind of heat?

or would it just be better to forget about using the charger and CAI together?

Oh I seriously doubt that, cats work with heat by the way, the hotter, the more efficient they get. The reason why its says it'll void the warranty is because the filtration of CAI's are usually alot poorer than the filtration of a paper filter.
