silver or chrome for my xrs?

ok i am shoppin for wheels.should i go racing silver or nice shiny chrome? chrome is heavier but i want to keep the same accelertion that i have right now. i want 18's or maybe 19's. will 19's fit on a rolla and not look too ugly? any brand recommendations?

also-
any muffler/exhaust suggestions for a louder sound? AEM, Greddy?

I think you should keep as light as possible as this is rotational weight. I'm also looking for wheel and i'm not sure the color to choose, my car is black.... i was thinking gold...

Anyway let me know if you find some exhaust that sound nice, not too civic type

rirolarma, go with bronze/gold with black.

anewfoundsin, what color is your car? Generally, I'd say to go with silver as chrome is heavier, high-maintanance, and looks good only on pimpin sedans or big-ass SUVs, which the Corolla is not. Also I would go no higher than 17. There is no big visual difference between 17 and 18, and I'm sure 19 will take some work to fit. If I were you however, I would get good-looking, lightweight 16s, so you wouldn't feel every single bump in the road.

As for the muffler, get something that will actually increase performance. Do a little research on it, and also make sure it doesn't sound too loud. I mean, just get something with a nice deep noise that won't annoy everyone within a 3 mile radius.

Just my 2 cents.

Yeah I think gold / bronze will look cool, in 17 or 18'' and the car dropped 2''

16's and 17's look to small on the new corolla's. I think the 18's look best on the newer models.

And for an XRS def go for silvers, or gun metal or somthing, just not chrome.

i've only seen 19s on one corolla so far. it looks sweet. but it also makes your brakes look super small.
