What the fU**??!! You're still driving with those oils??? Good god!! If you really want to destroy the car, keep on going but at that point change the oils ASAP !! I've seen two cars beeing destroyed by "milky oils"!! It doesn't warn you at all it just "crashes" suddenly and stops running==> REALLY EXPENSIVE to fix!!

Damn did you use water and antifreeze to top off your oil? Treat that car with a little more respect!

im thinking that it will be pointless to cahnge the oil because it is taking a lot of water to keep it going. so i think this car might be done for. i bought the car for $400 so no big deal.

funny story...

I started using gear oil (75w90) in my Nova/Corolla cause it was burning too much 20w50 IMO. So after putting in about 2 liters of this stuff, my car developed a flashing oil light as a result of the high pressures of oil. As it turns out, I only bused the old oil pressure switch. So I went to Canadian tire and got a new oil filter (the one on there was over a year old) a bottle of 20w50, a new air filter, and a new oil pressure switch. The car runs MUCH better now, but it consumes quite a bit of oil. I'm gonna try selling it for 700 or 800 CAD and but a Sprint or Geo Metro.

This car is onyl my winter car, but I drive it year round. I have a pristine 88 325is BMW that's my other car I use sparingly (mostly on weekends) for 4 months a year (May-Sept 1st) Then it gets put away in 8 month storage. I put about 5000kms on that car per year usually

Looks like a seriously leaking head gasket! If the head gasket were blown, then the car would run really rough (or not at all). If it still runs fairly smooth then the gasket is probably just leaking. When water from the cooling system mixes with oil, it creates the dreaded "chocolate milkshake" in the crankcase. Not good. The problem is that this oil/coolant mixture is not as good as straight oil at maintaining the thin film between the crankshaft and main bearings that keep the bearings from disintegrating. That thing will be knocking before you know it, and will more than likely just seize up one day...soon. If you change the head gasket, then you can save the motor...if not then it is as good as dead. If it were not a Toyota, then chances are it would not even be running. Keep the oil as clean (water-free) as possible and CHANGE THE HEAD GASKET! Good luck. Regards, Aaron
